President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia Elen Manaseryan, chairman of the CTUA  Standing Committee on Equality Liana Amiraghyan, together with representatives of the Solidarity Center office from October 14 to October 29, 2023. were on an official visit to the United States of America, which was organized with the support of partners of the Solidarity Center.
The visit was of an introductory nature, during which representatives of the Armenian delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the trade unions of the branch teachers' union in San Francisco and the service union Unite Here Local 11 in Los Angeles. Particular attention was paid to the processes of negotiating, organizing and conducting strikes. Meetings were also held with local Armenian trade unionists, the possibilities of mutual visits were discussed, and the cornerstones of cooperation between branch trade unions that affiliate  with   the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia were laid.
The Armenian delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Montebello, where they met with former and current leaders of Montebello, and also visited the city councils of Glendale and Los Angeles, where meetings were held with members of these councils. Los Angeles City Council member Hugo Soto-Martinez introduced the guests to the audience, and then  CTUA president Elen Manaseryan gave a speech in which he briefly introduced the activities of the CTUA, the current situation in the Republic of Armenia, the tasks of trade unions and the problems of compatriots forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
In recognition of the cooperation, the Los Angeles City Council awarded the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia a certificate of honor.
