On April 4, the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia jointly with the General Confederation of Labor of France held a round table on "Promoting workers' rights in a changing climate". The round table was attended by Boris Platzi, Head of the External Relations Department of the General Confederation of Labor of France, Fabien Rouchy, Member of the Bureau of the General Confederation of Labor of France, Renata Kutas, Advisor to the General Confederation of Labor of France, Ruben Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, representatives of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, heads of branch unions of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia.
During the round table, topics such as climate change and trade union strategy, the European Union's environmental and industrial development policies from the perspective of trade unions, a just transition in the Republic of Armenia, the situation and problems were discussed. Those present were interested in the work being done in France in the context of the issues being discussed, as well as the work being done to improve the working conditions of individual employees. The discussion was particularly noteworthy in the context of today's climate change.
At the end of the event, the President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, Elen Manaseryan, thanked the guests for visiting Armenia, for sharing their successful experience with those present during the discussion, and for the work that will continue in the future.
