April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work

By the initiative of the International Labor Organization, April 28 is celebrated annually as the World Day for Safety and Health at Work to promote the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases in the workplace.
The theme of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2025 is “The Occupational Health and Safety Revolution: The Role of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in the Workplace.”
Artificial intelligence and digitalization have become part of the workplace, rapidly changing the work environment, processes, and labor market requirements. These technologies create new opportunities that can improve working conditions and reduce risks.
Therefore, regardless of the type of work, working conditions should be as safe and risk-free as possible.
To ensure healthy and safe working conditions in the Republic of Armenia, it is necessary to form a comprehensive regulatory framework and develop control mechanisms aimed at preventing violations before accidents and incidents occur in the workplace.
Only with a comprehensive, systematic and practical approach can a healthy and safe working environment be created. Today, our goal is to emphasize the importance of healthy and safe work and remind that every worker deserves decent and safe working conditions.
