On March 31, at the Holiday.Inn Hotel in Yerevan, the Republican Branch Association “Electrotradeunion” of Trade Union Organizations of the Republic of Armenia, with the support of IndustriALL Global Union, held a seminar on the topic “Just Transition”, dedicated to climate change and the ongoing transition to green energy and renewable energy and the role of trade unions in the just transition process. The workshop was attended by IndustriALL Global Union representative Vadim Borisov, representatives of the  Branch Association “Electrotradeunion”, the Republican Union of Professional Organizations of Industry Workers of the RA and the  Branch Republican Union of Professional Organizations of Miners, Metallurgists and Jewelers of the RA, which  affiliate IndustriALL Global Union.
The seminar was held in a "live format" with the online participation of experts from Germany and Switzerland.
The situation in the republic was presented by the head of the renewable energy department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Victoria Keshishyan and the head of the analytical group of the Renewable Energy and Energy Saving Fund of Armenia Norayr Harutyunyan. The workshop participants stressed that trade unions need to have  a seat at the negotiating table to make working conditions a mandatory topic when discussing a just transition to renewable energy.
An interesting discussion took place.
