On October 16, 2025, at the initiative of Srapion Arakelyan, Chairperson of the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia, a seminar-meeting was held in Gyumri with the chairpersons of the trade unions of the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia and with a group of production and trade union veterans. The President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, Elen Manaseryan, was invited.

The opening speech was delivered by the Chairman of the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia, S. Arakelyan. The seminar was chaired by the President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, E. Manaseryan.

The legislation regulating labor relations in Armenia, upcoming amendments to the laws on Trade Unions and Employers’ Associations, the activities and accomplishments of the CTUA, cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the committees of the National Assembly, the role of trade union committees and union activists in monitoring the implementation of collective agreements, and the process of concluding the tripartite agreement between the Government, the CTUA, and the RUEA were presented during the seminar -meeting.

Questions and speeches were delivered by the chairpersons and members of the trade union committees of “Arshaluys” OJSC, “Lentex”, “Nelli”, “Zakaryan Jeans”, “Artenia” LLC, “Gyulbekyan” CJSC, and “Galstyan” individual entrepreneur.

Mrs. Elen Manaseryan provided comprehensive answers to all questions.

The event concluded with a lunch.  Chairperson of the Branch Union S. Arakelyan and the participants expressed their gratitude to E. Manaseryan for attending, conducting the seminar, consistently supporting the branch, clarifying legislation, and showing attentive care.
