WORK AND LEISURE EVENT

On August 23, 2025, with the financial support of the Tourism Development Fund of Armenia, Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia organized a recreational tour for 15 veterans who had dedicated 40–50 years or more to patriotic productive work and trade union membership, as well as for members of the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia Presidium. The route included Yerevan, Dilijan, Haghartsin, Goshavank, Lake Parz, Dilijan, and back to Yerevan. The participants attended with great interest and became acquainted with the history and facts about these world heritage sites of the Armenian people.    In the embrace of nature near Lake Parz, one of the pavilions hosted an off-site session of the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia Presidium.
AGENDA
1.    Information from the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia President on the activities carried out by the Presidium and the Council during the first half of 2024–2025, as well as the implementation of income and expenditure.
2.    Reports from trade union committee chairpersons on ensuring regular work and wages as stipulated in the 2025 collective agreements, observance of vacation schedules, and compliance with safety rules.
3.    Issues related to compliance with technical safety and fire-prevention regulations in companies and organizations of the branch due to the sharp increase in temperature in Armenia, including instructions and training, availability of fire extinguishers and other equipment, and the provision of workwear to employees.
4.    On organizing assistance to provide school supplies, clothing, uniforms, and other necessary support to school-age children of low-income families and forcibly displaced families from Artsakh on the occasion of September 1.
5.    Decision of the trade union organization of “Kanaker Sewing Factory” LLC to approve, in accordance with the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia Statute, the credentials of newly elected trade union committee chairperson Nelli Baghdasaryan as a delegate, member of the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia Council and Presidium.
For all the issues discussed, separate practical and implementable decisions were adopted. Special attention was paid to the difficult situation and challenges related to the collection of membership fees and the need for timely solutions. 
Held under the motto “Work and Leisure”, the event concluded with a festive dinner at the restaurant of the “Haghartsin” hotel complex, with songs, dances, recitations, and a joyful atmosphere. The Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia and the participants expressed words of gratitude to the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia (CTUA) and the Tourism Development Fund of Armenia for their practical and financial support in the implementation of the program. Before departure, the participants spoke with satisfaction and appreciation about the moral and psychological significance of the event and the caring attitude shown towards them.
