The trade union organization of the OJSC "Clean Iron" Plant won a victory in court in a lawsuit to limit the rights of the chairman of the trade union organization of the OJSC "Clean Iron" Plant G. Alekyan. Since 2023, the management of the enterprise has prohibited the chairman of the trade union organization from entering the territory of the plant to perform his duties.
N. Ambartsumyan, a lawyer cooperating with the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia on behalf of the trade union organization of the OJSC "Clean Iron" Plant filed a lawsuit against the general director of the enterprise K. Hakobyan, demanding not to interfere with the chairman of the trade union organization G. Alekyan from exercising the rights and obligations of the chairman of the trade union organization of the company and to ensure his free entry and exit from the company's premises daily according to the schedule - 24 hours a day, without restrictions, since at the time of filing the claim the company worked according to the schedule - 24 hours a day.
The Yerevan Civil Court partially satisfied the claim in favor of the trade union, obliging OJSC Plant "Clean Iron" to allow the chairman of the trade union to freely enter the premises of the enterprise from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00. When making its decision, the court took into account the change in the company's operating hours, since the company now works only on weekdays and at certain hours.
This is a great victory for the trade union organization OJSC Plant "Clean Iron", which can serve as an example in the protection of trade union rights.
We also recall that with the assistance of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, back in 2023, G. Alekyan won another victory over OJSC Plant "Clean Iron", restoring his violated labor rights.
