On May 6, the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia hosted representatives of the Danish Trade Union Development Agency (DTDA): Program Officer Johan Bøgh and Program Adviser Jan Køhler Nielsen. During the meeting, the participants discussed the current areas of cooperation between the CTUA and the Danish Trade Union Development Agency, as well as opportunities for future collaboration. The parties emphasized the importance of international partnership in strengthening trade union capacities, protecting workers’ rights, and promoting social dialogue. They also discussed issues related to the implementation of joint programs, exchange of experience, training initiatives, and the development of trade union education. Special attention was given to the challenges of the modern labor market, the impact of digitalization, and the need for new mechanisms to protect workers’ rights.
The President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia presented the main directions of trade union activities in Armenia, existing challenges, and priorities, highlighting the importance of international cooperation for the development of trade unions.
The meeting was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere. The parties reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation and expressed readiness to further develop partnership ties for the benefit of workers’ rights protection and the strengthening of social justice.
