At the initiative of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia (CTUA), with the support of the International Labor Organization, on November 23-24, 2023, a seminar was held in Tsakhkadzor on the topic “Trade union strategy for the integration of forcibly displaced population from Artsakh into the labor market of the Republic of Armenia,” at which the president of the CTUA, deputy presidents, chairmen of branch republican unions and representatives of CTUA staff took part.
At the invitation of the President of the CTUA E. Manaseryan, the seminar was attended by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Sargsyan, Head of the Department of Cooperation with Employers and Labor Migration of the Unified Social Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Hrayr Hakobyan, Head of the Department of Health Protection and Safety of the Inspection Body Labor, Labor Legislation Control Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Harutyunyan, Specialist of the Employment Department of the Department of Labor and Employment of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Liana Hambartsumyan.
Elen Manaseryan touched upon the humanitarian programs implemented by the CTUA and its member branch unions, as well as the issues of integration of Artsakh armenians in the RA labor market.
Invited participants presented government-implemented programs for forcibly displaced people from Artsakh, followed by a number of questions and answers and discussion.
In the second part of the seminar, a strategy was developed for the integration of the forcibly displaced population from Artsakh into the RA labor market.
