Preventing informalisation of work and promoting transition to formality in the context of a refugees crisis forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh

On September 25, Elen Manaseryan, President  of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, took part in the discussions of the project  ”Preventing informalisation of work and promoting transition to formality in the context of a refugees crisis forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh”, announcing its launch. 
The launch event was attended by Ruben Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Hambardzumyan, Chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia, Françoise Jacob, UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia,
Frederic Lapeyre, Director of the ILO Formalization Action Programme, Kazutoshi Chatani,  ILO Senior Employment Specialist, and Nune Hovhannisyan, ILO National Coordinator in Armenia. The program is being implemented at the initiative of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Office in Armenia. The panelists discussed the prevention of informal employment, possible promotion of formal employment and the importance of social partnership in this context. Elen Manaseryan highlighted all the challenges that are faced, noting that the way to solve them is the correct application of legal norms and legal practice.
