Message of the Branch Republican Trade Union of Workers of Culture of Armenia to the museum workers of the Republic on the occasion of the International Museum Day

Happy International Museum Day to you, dear museum workers.

In this context, there is no exaggeration in the word “dear” as it refers to you, because you are greatly needed by our society. The significance and value of your work are difficult to overestimate.

Each year, International Museum Day—this professional holiday—is properly marked in all museums of our republic, summarizing and bringing together the work you have carried out during the current year of museum activity. And this activity, being highly multi-layered and diverse in content, serves the realization of a very important goal: to preserve, safeguard, study, and pass on our rich cultural treasures to future generations. And to accomplish this requires the necessary knowledge, high responsibility, boundless dedication, and daily painstaking work—something each of you knows well…
The significance of your work can, in one word, be described as a mission, aimed at raising public awareness and fostering understanding of identity and the world. And for all of this, simply thanking you is not enough: you deserve much more, because without any expectation, you carry out this difficult work with such great dedication, diligence, and responsibility—qualities that only a museum worker, like you, can embody.
Therefore, once again, congratulations on your holiday, dear museum workers, and sincere gratitude for your work.
