According to the letter of the President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia (CTUA) No. 07-01/21 dated June 22, 2026, and within the framework of international cooperation between the CTUA and the ILO, a trade union sports event titled “Trade Union Sport 2026” was organized from July 16 to 19, 2026, in Tsaghkadzor.
A fully assembled team representing the Republican Branch Union of Trade Union Organizations of Light Industry Workers of Armenia participated in competitions in four sports:
1.    Table Tennis — Kristine Nazaryan (“SASSTEX”), Vardan Khudinyan (“I Tex”).
2.    Chess — Gohar Kakoyan (“Shirakamut”), Vruyr Harutyunyan (“Gloria”).
3.    Darts — Susanna Vopyan (“Anush-TAM”), Sandro Ramazyan (“Gloria”).
4.    Arm Wrestling — Davit Khudinyan (“I Tex”).
The sports competitions were held at a high level, in a positive atmosphere and with great enthusiasm. The referees were invited from the relevant sports federations. In addition to the sporting events, the participants took part in seminars and discussions on trade union-related topics, interactive activities, games, film screenings, and other events.
As a result of the darts competition, our team member Sandro Ramazyan took first place and was awarded a Gold Medal and certificate, while Susanna Vopyan took third place and was awarded a Bronze Medal and certificate. In the team competition, the cup was won by the team of the Republican Branch Union of Professional Organizations of Institutions of Higher Education in Armenia.
During the official closing ceremony of the event, CTUA President Ms. Elen Manaseryan delivered a speech. The participants welcomed her remarks with applause and expressed their gratitude to the CTUA and the ILO for organizing and holding the event.
The event also featured active participation and speeches by renowned specialists in the field of sports, champion veterans, and sports commentators.
All members of our team were nominated for certificates of appreciation from the Branch Republican Union.
