Discussion on employment strategy

On the initiative of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia and with the support of the International Labor Organization, within the framework of social partnership, on July 7, a working discussion was held on the employment strategy in Armenia for 2023-2030. The event was attended by the President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia Elen Manaseryan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Sargsyan, Head of the Department of Europe and Central Asia of the ILO Sergius Glovackas, deputy presidents of the CTUA and chairmen of branch unions.
During the discussion, the goals of the employment strategy and measures for their implementation were presented. The Employment Strategy is one of the important documents of the RA Government's  activities program.
In her speech the President  of the CTUA Elen Manaseryan noted that it is necessary to discuss the draft strategy in this format, it is important to listen to the point of view and observations of the trade unions, given that the trade unions stand closest to the employee.
According to RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan, in the course of developing the employment strategy, a lot of research was carried out, the requirements of the labor market were studied, and efficiency standards were calculated.
The meeting continued in the format of questions and answers, the participants presented their suggestions and comments.
