A high-level delegation from the Norwegian trade union Fellesforbundet visited Armenia and held a meeting with Elen Manaseryan, President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Frode Alfheim, President of Fellesforbundet. It also included the union’s International Secretary and Adviser on International Affairs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the exchange of experience in protecting labor rights, as well as trends in the development of the trade union movement in Armenia and Norway.
The Armenian and Norwegian trade union leaders discussed mechanisms of social dialogue and issues related to strengthening social guarantees for workers, while also addressing the specific characteristics of the labor markets in the two countries.
The parties emphasized the importance of international trade union cooperation and expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue and expand mutual contacts in order to protect the rights and interests of workers in both countries.
