In 2003 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring June 23 as UN Public Service Day.
All countries and all people need public service. It must be diverse and comprehensive, aimed at effectively serving people and improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable members of society.
Today, every country in the world needs to rethink the structure and model of its public service. The public service of the future must be more agile, technology- and digital-driven, and people-centric. These are key elements to prepare for the future, ensure the effectiveness of inclusive policies and service delivery, reduce inequalities and build trust to governments.
The Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia congratulates public service workers on the holiday, wishing them will and energy for further work for the benefit of our country.
